Orthodontic Assistant/Front Desk - Part time position
Island Breeze Orthodontics Island Breeze Orthodontics Dickson, TN Dickson, TN Part-time Full-time Part-time Full-time $16 - $20 an hour $16 - $20 an hour Island Breeze Orthodontics is growing and looking for an Orthodontic Assistant with a positive attitude, effective communication skills and a willingness to learn.
We offer a unique patient care atmosphere.
This position offers 32 hours, M/T/W/F schedule 2
year of clinical experience in the dental field (Orthodontics or Pediatric Dentistry) strongly preferred Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with Cloud9, Dolphin, Dentrix or OrthoTrac is preferred.
Certified Orthodontic Assistant Responsibilities (the responsibilities are, but not limited to):
-An ability to multi-task is essential as well as keeping a positive attitude (good vibes).
-Greeting all visitors to Island Breeze Orthodontics with a smile (keeping the vibes good) -Answering patient phone calls and scheduling appointments -E-mail communications -Effective and respectful communication between all Team members of Island Breeze Orthodontics -Comfortable speaking with patient/parents/caregivers about treatment plans and converting exams to starts-Radiograph certification is needed -Seat each patient in a timely manner -Set-up for procedures (placing brackets/full start/impressions/attachments, etc.
) -Place and remove arch wires, fit bands -Take records photographs, radiographs, impressions when needed -Use the Itero for intraoral scans of patient's mouths (we will provide training) -Place separators and explain why we placed them to patient/parent/caregiver -Delivery of retainers and discussing retainer care -Placing Herbst/Forsus/Class II correctors, RPE - or at least familiarity with these appliances -Discuss elastic compliance with patients, instructions for new appliances -Clean units after each patient -Maintenance on equipment, sterilizers, suction systems, automatic processors -Familiarity with cleaning equipment -Restocking units, notifying when to reorder items, ordering items -Clean up at the end of the day You must be a person that is self-motivated, dependable and have a positive attitude Please send your resume if you are interested in being part of the Island Breeze Orthodontics team.
