At Jet Packaging Group, we design and create custom packaging solutions for clients in fields including agriculture, human and pet foods, cosmetics, housewares, and even the military.
OUR CURRENT NEED:
We have a rare opening in our print department.
We are in need of one day-shift Press Assistant.
The tasks a press assistant performs includes:
1.
Must be able to lift 75 pounds 2.
Must be able to climb ladders to the height of five feet 3.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time to perform daily duties 4.
General housekeeping of Pressroom 5.
Be physically capable of loading and unloading material onto and off the press properly.
Plus the following aptitudes:
1.
Be able to grasp how to clean and carry out basic maintenance of all equipment supporting press operations.
2.
Have a basic understanding of how to read a tape measure.
3.
Be capable of understanding the concept of ink viscosity and monitor viscosity consistency throughout the entire job.
4.
Be capable of learning about the cleaning and maintenance of press ink chambers and components.
5.
Be capable of learning about the cleaning and maintenance of Ink pumps and hoses.
6.
Be able to learn about inventorying, monitoring, and returning inks when jobs are completed.
7.
Willing to learn beyond the Press Assistant duties and be mentored as a Press Operator.
