Production Supervisor

Job Description

We are looking for an up and coming career minded supervisor looking to be promoted to the next level in three to five years. 


Title of Job: Production Supervisor -3rd shift


Description: This position is important because it drives the productivity while ensuring employee safety and product quality. The Production Supervisor is responsible for developing and leading results-orientated, winning teams. Your role as a Production Supervisor for The Bakery Companies is to support our Mission, Vision, and Values, these should be your focus when addressing associates, making decisions that impact safety, customers and quality.   The role of a Production Supervisor is to follow-up on implementation and processes during their shift and supervise the entire production operation, shifts, lines, and other related functions.


 


In short: A successful Production Supervisor is one that is able to motivate others using exceptional leadership, make quality decisions in a timely manner, and effectively implement production strategies.

            Reports to: Production Manager


            Direct Reports: Production Leads


Experience:


Required:


3+ Years of Production Supervisory


High School Diploma or equivalent


 


Preferred:


Experience in Bakery Environment


4 Year Degree

Technical Skills:


Leadership:



  • Ability to communicate overall direction, coordinate and evaluate 20-50 employees and also directly supervise non-supervisory lead employees.

  • Ability to handle multiple high-priority projects and assignments, work well with others in stressful situations, and meet deadlines as necessary.

  • Proven experience in coaching, training, and developing hourly associates

  • Ability to identify & resolve problems

  • Maximize production line efficiencies

  • Ensure effective staffing utilization

  • Must be willing to complete AIB Science and Baking correspondence course and the AIB Residence Baking course


  


Safety:



  • Must possess a solid working knowledge of GMP Policies and Procedures

  • Responsible for implementation and maintaining a 5S environment

  • Food Safety & Quality Focused


 


Technology:



  • General Software/technology experience (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

  • Scheduling experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
